Mardi Himal Trek - 10 Days

Mardi Himal is located just east of one of the most legendary trekking destination of Nepal. Mardi Himal trek is a short and spectacular trip in the Annapurna region. The trip is harsh and slippery to slogging ahead till the Mardi Himal base camp. It is the best way to discover the dazzling sceneries. Mardi Himal trek is lowest and perhaps least visited of the trekking peaks in Nepal. Only a few tourists have visited this place.

When to travel?

You can travel when you want but you have to know the best season to travel. The appropriate season will help you to travel easy and view best scenarios of that place. Mid-September – October – November which falls under Autumn Season and is the best time to go trekking. You can view the beauty of the Mardi Himal and easy to trek. March-May is the second best month of the year to go trekking. May – June month is also the good month to trek.

During December-January-February, you can trek since the sky will be clear. But it can get very cold and risky of passes being closed due to snowfall. June- mid-September is monsoon season and during this time least number of trekkers will trek due to rainfall. And trekking during rainfall may cause lots of problems.

Itinerary


Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft).

Day 2 Drive to Pokhara (827m/2,700ft): 6-7 hours.

Day 3 Drive to Phedi and trek to Deurali (2100m/6,720ft): 30 minutes drive, 4-5 hours trek.

Day 4 Deurali to forest camp (2,520m/8064ft): 6-7 hours.

Day 5 Forest Camp to low camp (2970m/9504ft): 5-6 hours.

Day 6 Low camp to high camp (3540m/11,328ft): 3-4 hours.

Day 7 High camp to upper viewpoint (4250m/13600ft), return back to high camp: 2-3 hours.

Day 8 High camp to Sidhing Village (1700m/5440ft): 6-7 hours.

Day 9 Trek to Lumre, drive to Pokhara and fly to Kathmandu: 2-3 hours trek, 2 hours drive and 25 minutes flight.

Day 10 Final departure.
