Langtang Valley Trek - 11 Days
Langtang trekking is a pleasant trip and a classical walk through traditional ethical villages on the way to the peaks of Langtang-Lirung. The Langtang treks include a visit to the Langtang valley, Kyangin Gompa, Langtang, Gompa, plenty of yaks heard on the alpine meadow and Langtang Lirung Glacier. Langtang is an ideal region if you are short on time but still, you want to trek to view magical charm of the close-up Himalayan and experience the incredible Sherpa’s cultures.
The mountains that can be seen during Langtang Trekking are Langtang Lirung (7246m), Gang Chhenpo (6388m), Naya Kangri (5846m) and Dorje Lakpa (6966m). Some other Mountains like Himchuli Manaslu and Ganesh Himal as well as the Shishapangma mountain of Tibet can be seen from this region. Beautiful Goshainkunda Lake, which is also important Hindu pilgrimage site is right next to Langtang valley. Most of the people living in this region are Tamang and Tibetan origin whose dress, craftsmanship, traditionally-built stone houses, and the beautifully carved wooden porches shows rich Himalayan heritage.
This region is partly protected as Langtang National Park, which contains a wide variety of climatic zones, from subtropical to alpine, various types of rhododendron, dense bamboo forest, and dancing waterfalls. The activities for tourist in the park are trekking, climbing and white-water rafting. The park contains Gosainkunda Lakes, Hindu pilgrimage sites and Kyanjin Gompa, Buddhist Monastery.Excellent sunrises can be viewed over the Langtang ranges by climbing to Tserko Ri.
The path ascends the Langtang Valleys from just 1470m at Syabrubesi to hit 3870m at Kyanjin Gompa following the rushing Langtang Khola. The imposing Langtang Valley Trek is closest Himalayan Regions from Kathmandu Valley, which particular offer spectacular close-up views of the surrounding peaks and glaciers of Langtang Lirung (7246m), Kimshung (6781m) and Langshisha Ri (6370m).
It’s worth budgeting a couple of days trekking to Langtang valley as it doesn’t require trekking experience and also the altitude is not all that high. February to May in spring and from September to November in autumn these are the best season to visit and capture the beauty of this route.
